Nickel alloys offer strength and versatility for a variety of applications. When nickel is added to 300-series stainless steel, it provides better corrosion resistance, greater strength in high and low temperatures, and increased toughness in low temperatures. Nickel lowers the effects of work hardening, thus reducing traces of magnetism caused by cold forming and making material flow more freely in manufacturing.

Capable of withstanding harsh and corrosive environments, these materials are often used in high-performance applications, particularly in the chemical processing and energy industries. It’s commonly used to build gas and steam turbines in power plants.
